Owen climbs the rock wall (spina bifida)

I have not posted video of Owen in quite a while. He has spina bifida L1-L3. Update: He is walking independently with AFOs. He ditched the walker last June (2 1/2 yrs old). He does fall frequently, but is ambulatory. He attends special needs preschool 2 days a week. He has no fear and a resilient and stubborn spirit. It serves him well. Owen is 3 now. I looked out the window the other day to see him just as he reached the top of the rock wall on our play set. The other side of our play set has a metal rung, vertical ladder that Owen is unable to navigate. Usually we bring out an old bunk bed ladder and hook it on, then he can get up by himself. Well, this particular day we had not put out "his ladder" so he found another way. I would not have in my wildest dreams thought he would be doing this at age 3. His legs started swelling out of the blue and gradually, his condition worsened. At first, his parents thought he had developed elephantiasis, but a medical check at Tororo hospital proved them wrong. Oketch's father, Tito Opoya said when his son's legs continued to swell, he gave up and left the issue in the hands of God. But in no time, the toddler was confined to a wheelchair. "Since then, he has used three wheel chairs with each bigger than the other," Opoya sid, seated beside his son at the hospital. Opoya said the boy was liked by his teachers since he was brilliant at Mbula primary school in Tororo where he was in P.2 until last year when he could no longer go for classes due to the ailment. "He eventually became too heavy and it required at least five men to lift him to school which was over a kilometer away from home," Opoya reminded. 3-year-old Drummer Rocks the House!

J-dog is only 3 years old, and rocks the house with his rendition of One Way Jesus! **A lot of people comment about ear protection: but don't worry. This is "Daddy's" drumset and he typically doesn't play on this one. He has an electric drumset in his bedroom with volume control that is set at a very low level.
