How to Choose a Bed for Your Newborn Baby | Pottery Barn Kids

A comfortable and a quiet spot in a room is the perfect place for your baby's crib. In this Pottery Barn Kids video, Michelle, Director of Furniture, explains how sleep is a significant part of a newborn baby's routine and gives tips on selecting the right crib for your baby. Michelle lists down the different types of bed available from Pottery Barn Kids to suit your needs. The bassinet is like a smaller crib for your baby. The co-sleeper can be positioned next to your bed, so that you can feed your baby even in the middle of the night. A crib has some great features like the size, the drop-side rail and fixed side rails. Ensure that your baby has enough space and comfort while sleeping. Michelle shares some essentials for a crib. She begins with the mattress, and suggests covering it with a thin waterproof mattress pad. The mattress pad shouldn't be too thick and should be covered with a crib sheet. A bumper around the insides of a crib ensures that your baby doesn't get hurt while rolling inside the crib. Add a bed skirt to a crib to give finishing touches. It is very important to keep your baby warm and cozy and keep them lying on their back.
